Jumping ship from QF to BA frequent flyer program – my journey

By JessicaTam

In Australia we are limited to two airline loyalty programs: Qantas and Virgin. Or are we?
Jessica has recently reached lifetime Gold (OneWorld Sapphire) with QF and so started casting around for another OneWorld program to credit to. She has settled on British Airways Executive Club as they offer lifetime OneWorld Emerald (also confusingly called Gold by BA).

Jessica will discuss the two programs and their advantages and disadvantages. This will hopefully help you decide which one is best for you, based on how your flying pattern will fit with either programs’ sweet spots for earning status.
